Countdown

I can't believe it's been a month plus since I wrote last. Well, guess that's what happens when you're insanely busy and passing a nasty cold back and forth. Hopefully Michael and I have gotten it out of our systems before the wedding.

Anyway, we had a fairly steady stream of replies come back through the end of last month. Then they trickled off. Right now we are still needing to track down 8 which isn't bad. But, overall. . .blech. Over half the invited guest list is poof. That is for various and asundry reasons. (sigh) Money is a factor for a good portion of those closest to us (like my family -- only Cynthia will be there to represent). For others it is health or work. And a few others have had recent family deaths (really am sorry Kathleen).

We sure picked one heck of a time to get married with the economy in flames and everything else. But is there ever a good time for major events? Not in our lives. lol Fortunately, WW is really flexible about the numbers. So, while I'm sure it will disappoint them not to have twice the number of people coming, it will be ok. They are great. I so recommend them.

Still, we are not upset about it all. We understand. And we still love everyone. It will now just be a more intimate affair than before. Which, in a way, is a good thing. It would be nice to have everyone in one place all at once so they could finally meet but, ah well, maybe someday.

I am looking forward to that week though. Feel antsy. lol Just like me huh?

Oh, and we did have a few other hitches. We bought our rings back at the end of August. Well, they took forever to come. And then only one of them came in! Good thing it was Michael and not me there. They managed to get the other one in fairly quickly. I mean, I know we had time and all, but neither of us was comfortable waiting until last minute.
