A Shout Out

I want to take this moment to give a shout out to Michael for being such a wonderful guy. Yeah, I know it's a mush moment but deal. He has been wonderful this past week with me being sick and everything. To paraphrase what Kyle said yesterday, I got a good one. He's been spoiling me rotten. Heck, he even gave me a free two-week bitch pass. Oh, and I am not to apologize for stuff. The only grumpiness has come from me getting tied up with work stuff. Mike keeps admonishing me to just rest and forget about that stuff. Oh, and that I am not to drive to PA this week no matter how much I may want to. But even with that I don't think he will get mad at me if I do even though he doesn't completely understand why I would. So, yeah, I got a good one and I just wanted you all to hear me say it again. lol

The Countdown Begins

Ok, as of yesterday, we have one year to go til the wedding. Now the planning begins in earnest so there should be more posts here. Michael actually got me a rose yesterday to celebrate our "pre-anniversary". lol It was very sweet and very unexpected. Made my day (which had been long). Part of it probably also had to do with the fact that we had a small tiff over some things I wanted to buy yesterday for the wedding next year. Trying to take advantage of this year's post-holiday savings. What can I say, I want to have an awesome wedding but we are limited to a tight budget. So, if I can get great things at a discount now, we can use the savings towards something else later. It's what you have to do. No worries on the tiff, it was just a communications error mostly due to me being in hyper bunny mode. Well, I must run. Lots to do today too.

More on the Theme

Got some emails saying that peeps love the fairy court idea. I think it's a good one too. Something different.

One of the things that has inspired me for this theme is the first present that Michael bought me for Christmas 2005. It's a Nene Thomas print that hangs in our living room above my piano entitled "Always":



Heck, I'd love to do the dress but Lord knows I don't have the time for getting someone to make it. So, I'll stick with a more contemporary dress and I have a few ideas which I'll share with you all later.

Yup, Halloween. It's a Friday so we'll be doing an evening wedding. For those of you coming from out of town, well, we'll have stuff planned for the whole weekend so you can "justify" the trip. (wink)

Right now we are thinking of making the whole thing a masquerade. Yeah, you heard me right.

Theme: Fantasy

That covers a broad range. Now, people are expecting us to be vampires but I'm thinking of a fairy court for the wedding party. What do you think?

Welcome to our new blog.

I was looking at all the stuff that knot.com and a few other places have and thought to myself, should I publish there? Then I got to thinking, what's the point? I already have a blog on Blogger so why not just add one that we can link to our own and post as we want.

Sounded like a good plan to me.

I figured that it was a good idea to have a separate area where we could let you all know what's going on about the wedding without you all having to slog through the emails and/or our blogs to pick out details. This way you know what to expect on the big day and you know our thoughts, adventures, etc along the way. Just don't be surprised if there are huge gaps here since the wedding is 16 months away. But as I've already started planning and have ideas, it didn't seem to early to me too create the blog. Enjoy!
